Eudora High School is actively seeking applications for the position of High School Principal, commencing with the 2024-2025 academic year. Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain a Kansas administrative license. Interviews are scheduled to take place in the spring of 2024.

Role Summary:


The High School Principal is entrusted with providing instructional leadership, focusing on curriculum planning, review, implementation, and professional development within the school. Additionally, the principal oversees building administration and ensures the safety and welfare of students and staff.

 

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a Kansas teaching license and administrative license.
  • Building-level endorsement.
  • Five years of teaching and/or administrative experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with Kansas CTE programs and Kansas College and Career Ready Standards (KCCRS).
  • Master’s degree required, doctorate preferred.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring compliance with state and federal mandates.
  • Articulating a clear vision for school improvement efforts.
  • Communicating the school's vision and mission effectively to all stakeholders.
  • Utilizing assessment data to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Monitoring and improving school culture and climate.
  • Creating and maintaining a conducive learning environment.
  • Developing and implementing curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular programs.
  • Promoting professional development aligned with district goals.
  • Integrating technology effectively into educational practices.
  • Supporting students with individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504 plans.
  • Collaborating with faculty to interpret data and improve student achievement.
  • Supervising students during out-of-classroom activities.
