Key Responsibilities:
- Develop engaging lesson plans in industrial technology, including woodworking, cabinet-making, drafting, manufacturing, construction, and engineering principles.
- Provide hands-on learning opportunities using industry-standard tools, equipment, and technology.
- Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment in the classroom and lab settings.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate technology and real-world applications into the curriculum.
- Support and mentor students in developing technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and workplace readiness.
- Maintain and manage tools, machinery, and materials, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Participate in professional development opportunities, staff meetings, and school activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology, Education, or a related field (required).
- Valid teaching license or ability to obtain one in Kansas.
- Prior teaching or industry experience in industrial technology (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of safety practices and the ability to teach safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A passion for engaging students in technical and industrial learning.
